Today was take two for heading up to Daintree and this time we made it! We did some cool rainforest walks along board walks and arial walkways - good for keeping anything too scary a safe distance away! Unfortunately we were caught up in more heavy rain and I think much of the wildlife was taking shelter (wishing I'd taken a better rain jacket than my cheepo Millets Jack in a Pack!).
We did see some huge spiders which made harry the huntsman look small as well as some beautiful butterflies.
This is an orb spider and they can grow up to 12cm, reckon this was about 8cm - big enough! If you're struggling to visualise how big that is grab a ruler!
Next stop was an ice cream place which uses all the local tropical fruits. No unlimited tasting there which was probably for the best!!
