This morning we packed up and left Hogwartz and jumped on the Taieri Gorge Railway a 4 hour round trip to Pokerangi and back to Dunedin.
I have to say it was quite similar to the Tranz Scenic train trip we did from Christchurch, but it was still really good and I enjoyed it as again the views were just breath taking.
We bumped into a guy who we had met on the Christchurch train and he asked if we were Train Enthusiasts like him!! I think the geek translation for that is are you train spotters like me on a train sightseeing tour of NZ?
I think we may be doing too many train related activities and we were planning another train trip on the North Island, but I'm now wondering if that's wise!
After the train trip we were back in the car and on the road to Te Anau. Nothing much to note on the journey we arrived safely and it was thrashing it down. Hoping that the weather clears up for our overnight cruise on Doubtfull Sound tomorrow!
